The biggest toy craze in history, Ty Beanie Babies, will be featured in an HBO Documentary that premiers December 23, 2021.
Director Yemisi Brookes takes you through the late 1990s when Beanie Babies filled hearts and store shelves across the world. Interviews from some of the original collectors, employees and business owners try and explain why these little plush toys had such a grip on society.
Today, most Beanie Babies don't have much value, but back in the 1990s, people were shoving women and children out of the way to obtain the newest one to hit retailers.
There are very few phenomenons that rival the thirst for Ty Beanie Babies and it's great to see some of the key figures from the past talk about the glory days.
