  1. All my beanie babies have tag errors. Well not my gold cat nip . All my beanie babies say PE.pellets. nips tag say PVC PELLETS. My tablet’s keyboard is being very crazy . bye .

  2. I have erin, maple, & glory mcdonald’s 1999 international bears with the tush tag reading 1993 instead of 1999. Is this considered an error???

  3. I Have the Halo beanie baby and everywhere I look on the swing tag Gosport is a place. On my beanie baby it does not list Gosport as a place

  4. I have a Garcia bear with no swing tag. But the tush reads “SUFRACE WASHABLE”.
Does anyone else know of this error?

  5. I have Scoop with a Pinky hang tag. I heard that Hippity is worth more if he has misaligned eyes. I feel that means eyes that aren’t symmetrical when looking straight into his face. I haven’t found a good site that shows aligned & misaligned eyes–does one exist?

  6. Sorry folks, your Beanies aren’t really worth all that much… not even the first editions. There’s lots of hype on the internet about retiring you have certain “rare” Beanies, however, no one, and I mean no one, is paying those prices. If you look on ebay at beanie auctions, there are some listed anywhere from $20k down to .99 cents, and guess what, there are absolutely NO bids on any of these.
My aunt was a collector with over 1000 – she had them encased, with tag protectors and they are in mint condition, but guess what, they are not worth anything. We decided that we’d estimate the prices based on what they were being auctioned at and donating the lot to St Judes – we’re better off with the tax break versus the would tak eto sell them.

    I wish you all well…

    1. I agree, not many people are buying Beanies, a few who are determined to have a Complete collection of each Beanies –Kids buy them, but Collectors ?? Few do.

    2. you’re right, most beanies are not worth the fabric they were made from but that doesnt mean that people dont or wont collect them. Believe it or not, there are still many people collecting these and paying outrageous prices for them as well. Sadly a lot of these people are getting roped into the hype because if you check Ebay as so many people do, the general ones that come up are at outlandish prices but if you scroll further down, many go down to 20,10,5 or even the dreaded 99 cents. But as with most trends, it has not died out and TY is still making them and making a profit which should tell you that all isnt lost. The biggest thing that ive learned while buying and selling items on Ebay and other sites is that just because they aren’t paying today doesnt mean they wont pay tomorrow. And an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

    3. Thats great that atleast you got the tax write off but beanies are like everything else and go up and down with the times. They are still worth something as they are still making them and making a profit at that but hate to say it that now is the time to buy seeing they are mostly at rock bottom prices except for the original 9 and the first to maybe 3rd gen swing tags. They are still selling, just not at the extreme prices they once were. Ive been buying and selling for many years now and still buy and sell beanies, just not a the rate i once did but thats generally anything on the market. Trends come and go. Beanies are still being sold just not at the crazy hype prices that you see nowadays. Beanies are not being sold for millions i do agree but they do sell. And most things dont get bid on until the last minute or they get bought outright on Ebay but there is a crazy overabundance of most beanies especially on Ebay but remember, beanies or anything for that matter, is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

I just sold one of my last Garcia Bears with an error for $75 and my Clubby 4 in the box with the mystery button for $100. neither were selling on EBAY so i switched up tactics and went for Craigslist and Letgo. Theres always a buyer for an item. Just got to find them.

  7. I have a Glory the Bear beanie but it’s in an unopened Erin the Bear package. Both are from the set of 4 beanie babies; Canadian, Irish, American, and British. Is that error uncommon and is it worth anything?

  8. I just found a Bucky with a Scoop tush tag. I’ve never heard mention of one before. Does anyone know what it may be worth?

  9. I have a Halo beanie baby that is teal instead of white (like the entire thing is teal) and I have a halo bear that is missing the stitching on his nose (came from the factory that way) so he has a flat face instead of the divot above the nose and I have some with brown noses too… would those be worth anything?

  10. I have a Sly beanie baby with tush tag no star “sufrace” instead of “surface”. I did not see that listed. Does this beanie baby hold any value?

  11. DAISY, 1994 ON THE TAG—TUSH TAG 1993 NORMAL ??
On 2 i found a Period and a comma, Comma under the period with a space.
I forgot the names of the 2, They are 2nd Generation ….I have 500 to 600 2nd Generation beanies finding those 2 ??? I have to look .
I have many with ERRORS, I’m checking them for ERRORS right now..
    # 1 Mistakes i found —Gasport was misspelled, it should be Gosport made in the Uk—
ORIGINAL on the tag was Misspelled –ORIIGINAL, with 2 ii…BYE BYE..
Who is buying Misspelled Beanies ??

    1. I’ve read a lot on the year difference on both tags and found that it’s not worth anything and they did that on a lot not really an error.

  12. Have a millennium with the mispelled error on the swing tag, but not tush tag and also with Gasport rather than Gosport

  13. I have a Congo with all the common errors on the left inside swing tag, but the inside right of the swing tag has all the info of Nip including the birthdate in numbers ant Nips’ poem. Also the tush tag has the errors of missing punctuations. Otherwise he’s in great condition except for the bend or fold mark on the tag. Does that change the price at all?

  14. Are beanies with 1st generation tush tags worth anything if they are missing the swing tag? I have a Cubbie bear with a 1st Gen. 4line Korean tush tag. Also a Teddy old face brown bear with the 1st Gen. Handmade in China tush tag. They are both missing the swing tags.

    1. they are still worth money just less when they have missing or damaged tags. It becomes hard to tell which version some of these beanies may be from missing a swing tag as beanies that have first gen tush tags can be from the first to third gen maybe even the fourth. There are usually some telling factors, but they do go down a lot in value missing their swing tags. You just have to research that beanie to the best of your ability and assess it on the other values such as condition and condition of the tush tag and possible errors.

  15. I have a 4th generation Fleece the Lamb beanie baby (with PVC pellets) that has a Chip the cat tag attached to it. I can’t find any others online like this. Is it rare?

    1. Most beanies that have different tags are not that rare. Although i didn’t really find much on it either. If this is a tush tag error, then likely there are more like it out there but not as widely known. If its a hang tag, you have to look at the possibility that this could be a fake. When errors started to become more popular and the prices kept rising, there was a sharp rise in fakes as well. Especially around the 5th and 6th generations.

But if you have a genuine true error, then you may want to check it out further and look into getting it certified and you may have yourself something but generally a beanie with just mixed tags isn’t worth much more than the original is worth. But it is worth checking it out more. I would try to talk to some of the better known beanie gurus and go from there.

GOOD LUCK!!!! I hope it ends up being rare! That would be cool!

  16. I have Maple, Glory, Erin, and Brittania and the tags are only a single heart, not the usual fold-up heart, they weren’t cut, just the way they were made. Any idea of how much this could be worth, if anything?

    1. These sound like either Mcdonalds Teenie Beanie set as I do have that same set of bears in the package or they are Beanie Buddies but I’m leaning more towards the McDonalds set. These bears never came out with first or second generation swing tags.

If they are out of the package then they are generally worthless im afraid to tell you. Even in the package and in good condition they are still only worth ten to twenty dollars. maybe $50 if you’re lucky.

  17. I have never read about mine before. I have the killer whale (Splash) that has both tush and hang tag for the dolphin (Echo). Can ANYONE please tell me what this is worth????

    1. This is actually a common error. It really doesn’t add too much value honestly. I think I bought my Echo and Waves errors for just a few dollars on Ebay. Its the same with the Rainbow and Iggy mixup. Great to have in your collection but won’t make you a millionaire. Sadly, Beanie babies were riddled with errors and most of them are very very commonplace.

  18. My Fleece has multiple errors.
Hang tag has a period instead of exclamation point at the end of the poem.
TUSH TAG reads: OAKBROOK IL, U.S.A. instead of comma after Oakbrook and a period after IL like the others. I have seen only 2 others with errors.

  19. Hello and thank you for your time. I have a Millennium Baby with the following specs. I was wondering if you could point me in right direction as to if she is rare or her value. Any guidance is appreciated.
    Peace & Good Energy
