I purchased a Princess Diana beanie baby back in 1997 from. My mom was infatuated with the things and all she wanted for Christmas was the princess beanie. Long story short I happened to walk in the hallmark store at just the right time and was able to purchase one. When I got home I noticed something very odd. The heart tag did not say Princess, it had another beanie name on it. The tag sewed onto the doll did say princess. The doll has been sitting in a case ever since I purchased. I have looked for years to see if I could find any info on this. The doll is in mint condition and the tag has never been messed with. I’ve showed a few collectors but no one seems to know anything about this particular doll. The doll is genuine and it is the princess doll that I am sure of. Does anyone have any info about this error ?

Why is everyone trying to ask if their beanies are worth anything to one person? And didn’t you guys read where it says ‘often times, an error doesn’t raise the value’ ? A LOT of the beanies ARENT worth anything. You’re not going to make thousands off of them either unless you have something EXTREMELY rare. Which most of you guys do not. Go get them appraised or something? Also, good luck trying to find a buyer to actually pay the ridiculous amounts people are trying to sell them for. Just some advice… everyone’s trying to make some money off of nothing.

The dates are not an error. one is his birth year and the other is for beanies themselves. This is normal and again, not an error. There is a note up above about this as well in red before the comments.
He has two tush tags because the red one is for normal beanie babies and the black one is the Canadian one, so your beanie originated from Canada. This generally does not give it tremendous value but it does sometimes up the value, SLIGHTLY.
I have two beanies. Rabbits, Hippity and Hoppity both made in 1996 (used and a little dirty). The words “ORIGIINAL” is misspelled on each rabbit. I’m trying to find a value. Aug.2017
I have 2 peace beanies but they don’t look alike at all the head of one is totally different from the other. It’s bigger in the head and a different shape to the other one both tush tags say il usa so one of these must be an error if all are meant to be identical. The features are placed differently and the ears are not spaced the same on each

No this isn’t an error at all. The peace bears as well as Garcia bears or any beanie made out of a tye dye material will not be identical. That was one of the perks of getting one of these beanies is that they were never the same. Some people will sell these differently or try to use that as a selling point but these are not errors and its the luck of the draw if you get one that has more yellow in it, or more blue, etc. This goes along with most of the beanies that are not one solid color. Even, Pounce the cat comes in with lighter and darker shades of his dark brown coat. I thought he had gotten wet but then i noticed that all of them were different shades. This also goes for the placement of flags or confetti material as well. They will generally never be in the same exact spot
Roam also says Gasport on the tag on ear there is also a space before the ! At the end of the ear tag poem. I guess all 5000 have this? I’ve never seen another to compare them. Mine is il USA
