Our kids got beanie boos for Christmas. On the hand tag there is overlapping grammatical error and spelling errors in the poem. Is there any value to this? My nephew received the same exact dog and his print on the tag is perfect so I don’t think it was an across the board error.

Hello, there were many beanie babies that had spelling errors on the swing tag. On Chip specifically, there are known errors of “Jenuary” instead of January and “nixing” instead of mixing. This does not add a lot of value to the beanie, maybe a few extra dollars. Is this a 4th//5th gen swing tag?
The reason it is hard to say that it is valuable is because there is no way to tell exactly how many of these errors are out there as many people have no even opened the swing tag on their Chip beanie.

I have quite a few error/rare beanies but a couple that stand out to me are;
Valentino DOB: Feb 14,1994 with 1993 on tush tag, no tush tag stamp inside, pvc pellets, & the swing tag is misspelled (origiinal and suface, without correction sticker).
Curly I have 2 with errors on swing tag containing misspellings but one has pe pellets and the other has pvc ones also DOB 1996, but the tush tag says 1993. Also the swing tag cuts off Beanie. And no inside tush stamp in either.
Bones 4001 DOB: 1-18-94 but tush tag 1993, no star or stamp inside tush tag, pvc pellets.
I don’t know too much about these but I came across a collection of them recently and when going through them I started to check out prices they are listed for on ebay and have noticed that mine range anywhere from $40 possibly $30k! I want to sell them but am afraid that I don’t have enough knowledge on them to set a correct asking price. I looked into authenticating them however with my collection it would be difficult getting them to one via mail. I know they are authentic, they were bought directly from ty when they came out for my mother’s small hotel gift shoppe, but I’ve been reading that only serious collectors will only buy authenticated ones. I have the same issue with my own Bones beanie. I was checking the site Ty Collector and it said the release date for the Bones beanie was June 25, 1994. If it wasn’t “released” until 1994, does that mean the tush tag year of 1993 is an error??? This whole thing confuses me

I am uncertain the value, but I have an original first edition Batty the Bat with P.V.C. pellets that states “death date” instead of “birthdate” in the swing tag. And, I have an original first edition Glory the Bear with P.V.C. pellets that has only five stars on the flag, while other editions have more stars. I also have a original first edition Princess the Bear that has P.V.C. pellets, and made in Indonesia… except her rose on the front of her is red instead of the normal white. I have researched these beanies and I have never seen anyone selling similar ones. Please help, and thank you for your time.

I am helping my brother who just scored 5+ tubs of Beanie Babies from someone whose children have collected them more then 20 yrs ago from the beginning and now all grown and moved out most of them is in cylinders, sealed bags, etc.. I am trying to find out prices for them all and these with errors on them. I have a Fortune Panda Bear DOB 12/6/1997 with last four of the bar code 4196 and a red error code on the inside of the tag #425 and outside has 1998. I also noticed on the heart tag inside left on mine doesn’t have the same info as others i’ve seen on ebay it has 3 companies on the left but the 2nd company says Ty Europe LTD Fareham, Hants PO15 5TX, UK Can someone tell me how much this one is worth? Hello, the McDonalds Beanie Babies don’t have a whole lot of value. Ty and McDondalds did really well with that promotion, but they made so many of them for the Happy Meals that there are just too many out there. At best they are worth $1 each or so.
