💡 What Makes Beanie Babies Valuable?
Condition matters: If the toy is well-used and shows noticeable wear, that will dramatically impact the final sale price.
Tags are critical: The Tags play a major role in determining the value of Beanie Babies. Not only do they identify the toy, but the condition of the tag will also factor into the value. Beanie Babies with no Hang/Swing Tag will not be worth as much as one that still has the tags attached.
Authentication: Many of the Beanie Babies listed above are authenticated by 3rd party authentication services. There is a cost associated with grading/authenticating your beanie, usually around $15-20 when shipping is taken into account. If you have a rare beanie, or a 1st generation one, then you might want to consider getting it authenticated to maximize value.
Beware of fakes: There were many fake and counterfeit beanies that were created during the boom of popularity the toys had in the 1990s.

I have close to one hundred thick very sturdy plastic containers for beanie display. They are just like the round containers that the beanie baby club thru Ty sold some of THIER e-beanies were sold in and thiefs were round and mine are square, with lids. I also bought and include in each containers were sold as beanie baby chairs. It fits perfectly in the bottom of the case with a “stool” looking hump that that beanie sits upright on. Without these, the beanies sit on the bottom OFV the case and slightly slump over. U can invent ur own beanie seat, I just include one of these in each case. I have beanies in all of these cases. Not included but my beanies are for sale. I bought a great deal of them by four. The BBC automatically sent me four of each featured BBC ONLY beanie when they went up for sale. Even the beanies the BBC only had for sale for 24 hrs. They always sent a great collection. I have thousands of them all tagged and put away the day they were bought.

There are actually quite a few different Beanies that have the wrong tag, a completely different animal than what the animal is, that the tag is attached to. It rarely actually drives up their worth/price.
