💡 What Makes Beanie Babies Valuable?
Condition matters: If the toy is well-used and shows noticeable wear, that will dramatically impact the final sale price.
Tags are critical: The Tags play a major role in determining the value of Beanie Babies. Not only do they identify the toy, but the condition of the tag will also factor into the value. Beanie Babies with no Hang/Swing Tag will not be worth as much as one that still has the tags attached.
Authentication: Many of the Beanie Babies listed above are authenticated by 3rd party authentication services. There is a cost associated with grading/authenticating your beanie, usually around $15-20 when shipping is taken into account. If you have a rare beanie, or a 1st generation one, then you might want to consider getting it authenticated to maximize value.
Beware of fakes: There were many fake and counterfeit beanies that were created during the boom of popularity the toys had in the 1990s.

Hello. Im sure that you are receiving many requests and comments regarding pricing. Well here is another. I have inherited my mothers collection which is well over a few thousand. Most are in plastic box’s. They seen to all have plastic covers on tags. There are the regular sized ones some medium ones. The tiny ones. Mac Donald’s ones all in plastic bags along with the happy meal paper bags never used. Large ones. Ones in blister packages. Also Hospital for sick kids ones
I have looked at the value lists and believe that we have many of the larger values ones. All we want to do is sell them in a lot.
Is there anyone that you know in Toronto that would be interested.
Im willing to ship but like I said there are thousands of them.
Thank you in advance for your time.
What are the thoughts on butt tag flaws like the red oval? What about date discrepancies between the hand tag DOB and the butt tag? Is this a big deal or no? I looked on eBay and Glory is super expensive because of these errors. Thank you!!!
I have a great collection of my mom’s..she collected a long time..I would just to like to see what they r worth..even McDonald’s beanies in packages..all r in great shape
I HAVE ALOT OF BEANIE BABIS FOR SALE ALOT OF 1ST GENERATION I HVE NO CLUE WHERE TO SALE IF ANYONE INSTERESTED PLEASE EMAIL ME @ jaykiidblast@gmail.com

I have a female Stretch beanie Ostrich, she has a green dress on and a matching bow on her head. The tag says Original Beanie Baby, but I can’t find this female version anywhere, do you know why?

I have two Velentino with the “errors’ and the Princess one. The have been kept in a plastic case. Are they worth anything? I can’t find anyone in my state to authenticate them.
I collect beanies and i currently have 22 valentinos and 18 princess diana beanies i am always willing to add more. I can offer $50 for princess and $35 for valentino
I have the entire collection of the McDonalds International Bears (Erin, Britannia, Maple, & Glory) from 1999. They are all in mint condition, include the errors, and still in their boxes. I got them as a child when I lived in Corpus Christi in the late 90’s. My dad and I waited in line for such a long time to get those four dang bears haha. I have read articles that these are still worth some money (especially the full set), but I am not sure. Going to do a little more research!
Also – my parents moved out of my childhood home recently and gave me a box of stuff from when I was young. I found Jake the duck, Princess Diana, Valentino (with tag errors), an original Tabasco the bull before his name was changed to Snort, Blackie the Bear, Peanut, and Slither. Definitely going to have to get these authenticated asap!
How do I go about selling my collection of beanie babies?
Are you sad if you sell your beanie babies
After reading all the prices posted I have mixed feelings. I want to sell. I have many of the ones listed as top sellers on one site an on another site it says it is worth less than I paid. My collection is over 20 years old. So I would like to think they fall into the 1st or 2nd generation category. Everyone is in mint condition. They just saw they light of day today. I would appreciate any help, suggestion, or directions you’d like to share
I have 8 Beanie Babies, like new with tags attached. One Cheery bear and Seven McDonalds bears. Can’t find prices online so I can sell them. Can you help me ?
I have a whole bucket of beanie babies that I’ve been searching some places say that the McDonald’s ones aren’t worth anything but more sites say that the bears are worth a good amount of money over 1000 if you have all four of them and are in the original package
I have all four mcdonalds glory 1997/maple 1996/Britannia 1007/erin 1997.
I love how no one seems to get any answers. All these uestions and NO RESPONSES! Wow great site.
The answers are all there if they read
thank you for all your input
I kind of agree with Shari. There is a lot of folks posting with no responses.
“..the answers are there if they read” seems like a bit of a snarky response, especially for a site that carries itself as an “expert” source for reference and value. Why have comments at all?
I have a 1996 rare beanie baby with tush tag only how do I go about pricing
WHERE are the answers? I don’t see a single one.
Know ot all obviously knows nothing us these are google images not his actually properry sell elsewhere
i have the international Mcdonalds bears in the original package Glory Maple Erin and Brittania and Pinchers the lobster in the original package and about 15 others in there original package and
The beanie in actuality is whatever they have been going for on eBay. Or anyplace at an auction, Which can be anywhere from $10 on up. Someone actually paid 250,000 for a princess bear one at an auction. A princess bear. There are certain beanies that are worth money that are listed anywhere else. I believe one had been signed by Hillary Clinton. Nobody covers that.
I’ve run into the same thing with stamps. Most stamps anyway can be worth millions, no question. There are certain ones with certain errors that aren’t covered anywhere else. Most people don’t cover those. A lot of them are sights like this one
The beanie babies are the same way. Most would fit into the categories listed here. It also depends on what the collector is looking for. There were many changes, errors in color. That can never be done on purpose. Are any in one of those categories? Dr. Lori an auctioneer gives a better breakdown of values. There is much agreement with the information here, but there are other things that many looks for that most don’t know. Big bucks are paid for a reason.
I never go with just one area for prices.
Great advice! I think the same. People on the FB pages say those aren’t worth anything but a dollar . I have a ton to sell just not sure where to start or how to go about it. All are new and great tags. I have the big ones and the small ones.
Probably start on Ebay.
Are McDonald’s beanie babies in original packaging worth anything
