💡 What Makes Beanie Babies Valuable?

Condition matters: If the toy is well-used and shows noticeable wear, that will dramatically impact the final sale price.

Tags are critical: The Tags play a major role in determining the value of Beanie Babies. Not only do they identify the toy, but the condition of the tag will also factor into the value. Beanie Babies with no Hang/Swing Tag will not be worth as much as one that still has the tags attached.

Authentication: Many of the Beanie Babies listed above are authenticated by 3rd party authentication services. There is a cost associated with grading/authenticating your beanie, usually around $15-20 when shipping is taken into account. If you have a rare beanie, or a 1st generation one, then you might want to consider getting it authenticated to maximize value.

Beware of fakes: There were many fake and counterfeit beanies that were created during the boom of popularity the toys had in the 1990s.

    1. That one will most likely be worth something. Shortly after they released “Tabasco,” they had to pull them out of stores and rename them because of Copyright Laws. So, I would definitely look into that! I’m not entirely sure how much it would be worth.

  17. I have a ghost beanie baby born on 10-31-95 style 4090 who’s name on the tush tag is “Freckles” and the name on the hang tag is “spooky”. This is in excellent condition but never authenticated. Is it worth anything?

  18. My daughter has a huge collection 200+ beanies. Over the years we have toyed with the idea of selling the beanies but I personally get overwhelmed when I have to start looking for pricing and then of course where do you list them to get the best price. if one has a bunch but we’re not necessarily up on the latest as far as collector information goes. So where does a beanie baby collection get the most exposure to those who are interested in buying them¿ My thought is sell the collection as one big ”lot” saving me the hassle of posting 200 beanies separately. I’m at the point now where I’ve looked at so many websites and read so many articles on beanie baby values and getting rid of them and all the hoopla that goes with the tags in the production etc and quite frankly my mind is beanie blown… Can someone tell me best place to figure out how much my beanie baby collection is worth and where is the best place to sell this collection as one great big lot¿

    1. You should sell them on eBay… AND DON’T SELL THEM AS A LOT!!! If I were you, I’d take the time to sort them out, because in the end, it will be worth it. With 200+ bear, you at least have over 3k.

  19. I have the elephant (Righty) and the donkey ( lefty) they both have tags. If like to find their value and possibly sell them

  20. have claude sept”3/96…snort;;may 15/95.wise may 31/97’two spangle”june.14/99.have two floppity”style 4118/5/28/96..have many more nuts hank
